This is the it’s-all-about-me page. Enjoy it here because when it’s time to do your portraits or wedding it will be all about you. Whether it means climbing a ladder or wading into a stream to get that perfect angle, or just helping move tables and chairs on a dance floor, I try to do whatever it takes to get the pictures that you’ll treasure.

I enjoy many different types of photography, from action sports to formal portraits. As different as they may seem, they all share some common features: lighting, composition, and emotion. A good photo does more than record people and places, it captures feelings. Every person can’t be torn from the pages of a glossy magazine, nor would we want them to be. Still, there is beauty in every person; in their smile, expressions, hand gestures, and even the way they stand. These are the things I try to capture. They are the things that make every event special, the people.

I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Professional Photography in 1975 and have been self employed and living in Vermont since. I work throughout New England and New York .  Variety in my work along with artistic and technical skills makes me a better photographer and lets me look forward to each new assignment. I enjoy all outdoor sports and activities. In the winter I ski and snowshoe, while summer finds me gardening, golfing, biking and playing volleyball. In any season you can find me hiking the woods with my dogs.
