Family photos -definitely!  Photos are items that people carry out of burning buildings, keep in their wallets, and put on their desks. They are the most personal items we have.

I believe the reason people don’t have them taken as often as they should is that they think they have to dress up, drive to a studio, paste a smile on their face for an hour, and then get pressured into buying more than they want. I think portraits should be taken where people feel comfortable and relaxed - at your house, a park, or even a playground.

This isn’t surgery, it’s photography. It should be and can be fun.
